OnceUponATimeOnline
During the COVID-19 pandemic, like so many others, we reinvented ourselves by exploring new audiovisual formats. As parents, we recognized the need for inspiring, imaginative, and uplifting content for children, which led us to create Once Upon a Time Online, a digital storytelling series co-produced with Teatro Municipal de Las Condes.
For each episode, we selected a beautifully illustrated children’s book whose artwork was brought to life through animation. An actor or actress narrated the story from the Teatro Municipal de Las Condes studios, while a musician composed an original score especially for each tale. Together, these elements formed a series of eight stories, made possible through the generous collaboration of Ediciones Ekaré, Penguin Random House, and Amanuta.
The first season, however, featured original Christmas stories commissioned especially for the project. We brought together three acclaimed Chilean writers—Marcela Serrano, Alberto Fuguet, and Elisa Zulueta—three distinguished illustrators—Francisco Olea, Paloma Valdivia, and Virginia Donoso—and three renowned actors: Héctor Noguera, Néstor Cantillana, and Antonia Santa María.
Together they created the inaugural collection, Once Upon a Time Online: Christmas Stories.
