Laura and Juans’s magical christmas: an ACHÚ theatrical concert
Based on the songs of the children’s music group ACHÚ, this production was created in collaboration with Zumbástico Studio. It was an ambitious project, both in scale and concept, bringing together ACHÚ’s distinctive visual world and musical repertoire in a theatrical experience designed especially for children. The staging placed special emphasis on puppets of different sizes, visual effects, and sound design, with projected visuals playing a central role throughout the performance.
The story follows Laura and Juan, two children who meet during a public demonstration after becoming separated from their parents. Soon after, they are swallowed by a mysterious magical gift box that takes them on an adventure across Chile. As they travel through the country’s central, southern, and northern regions, they encounter beloved characters from the ACHÚ universe, including Chanchi, the Francolin Hen, Macaquinho Amarelho, and Trasladín the Goblin.
Together, they learn valuable lessons while discovering the power of freedom and imagination.
The production was presented as an open-air performance at Parque O’Higgins as part of the Christmas Celebration of the Presidency of Chile.
The show was performed twice, with audiences of 5,000 people at each performance.
