Papelucho almost aaalmost an orphan \u2013 audio drama<\/i> is a fiction podcast adaptation of the stage production originally premiered in 2022 by Teatro del Canto. In 2025, with the support of Fundaci\u00f3n Gestionarte of Chileactores, the production was reimagined in this new audio format as a co-production between La Santa and Teatro del Canto.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The story follows Papelucho, an imaginative eight-year-old boy who is constantly coming up with brilliant ideas to keep himself entertained. His curiosity leads him to discover realities very different from his own and to connect with people from all walks of life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Overwhelmed by the growing number of questions and secrets in his mind, Papelucho finds comfort\u2014and much more than that\u2014in keeping a diary. When he learns that his parents and older brother are leaving Chile, he suddenly becomes “almost, almost an orphan.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The podcast was launched in collaboration with Fundaci\u00f3n LUZ, an organization founded by Marcela Paz herself that, among other initiatives, supports the education of students with visual disabilities. The launch event featured a live presentation specially designed for visually impaired audiences.<\/span><\/p>\n
